Main Guitar の Kerry の Pickup を交換しようかなと考え中。

なんで交換するかというと、現状すでにサーキットが断線してしまっているので、リワイアリングをする必要があります。で、どうせそんなことするならついでに Pickup かえるかなと、それだけのことです。

EMG にしようと思った理由は、使ったことないからってのと、Active Pickup だから。

このところずっと Passive Pickup しかつかってなかったので、ひさしぶりに使いたくなったんです;

この Guitar はすでに 3 回くらい Pickup を交換してます。

まず、もともとの Jackson の Pickup。かりっかりの音で大嫌いだったので、そっこうで Seymour Duncan の SH6 あたりにのせかえた。

そこから Seymour Duncan の Active Pickup "LIVEWIRE Metal Humbucker Set" に交換。この Pickup 結構好きだったんだけども、いかんせん Rear Pickup の Power がありすぎて Clean Tone がでない; それに対して、Front Pickup は普通の Power だったので、Volume 差がありすぎた。

てことで、ちょっと使いにくかったりもしたのと、いいかげん年取って Metal 一色でもないだろうってので、Active Pickup をやめることにする。
交換したのはやっぱり Seymor Duncan の Pickup で、Front が '59 Model (SH-1) で Rear が Duncan Distortion Trembucker (TB-6) かな。で、これが今の状態なわけです。

さて、どうしよっかなぁ。

サブテキストに「いらないパッケージの削除について」って項目を追加しようと思っている。

で、ビデオでは

インストールの種類 : サーバ
インストールするパッケージグループ : Web サーバ (+ X Window システム + GNOME)

と言った感じで解説している。

要はは X をあげて GUI の設定ツールとか使いたかったら括弧の中のも入れてねって感じ。

で、上記の状態でインストールした Red Hat Linux 7.2 のパッケージ数を数えたら 611 あった。すでにすげー数だ...

とりあえず、必要なさそうなものを List Up して依存関係とかだけを見ておく。

さてと、あとはそれを元に文書化するのか...

一番多いのは、会社で「もしいまここで上司の頭をすっぱたいたら!」とか。

別に会話中とかそういうんじゃなくて、自分がたばこ吸って帰ってきた時とかに、普通に座って仕事している上司の頭を見て良く思う。

これは結構昔からあって、大学の時も何度も先生の頭を叩きたくなる衝動にかられて困った。

 xft/fontconfig を利用しているソフトウエアで日本語 TrueType フォントを利用すると，Bold や Italic が出ません．
 これは，fontconfig や xft が，Bold/Italic を表示するのに独自のフォントが必要だからだそうです．

 上記サイトのパッチをあてた fontconfig と xft のパッケージを作成しました．

_ darcs-load-dirs - Import upstream archives into darcs

Darcs works fine for importing new archives, However, for situations where the upstream renames of moves files and directories on a regular bases, version information can be lost.

darcs-load-dirs works with darcs to import these things and preserve changes.
It works on a principle similar to Subversion's svn_load_dirs or my tla_load_dirs package for Arch.

_ kturtle - educational Logo programming environment

KTurtle is an educational programming environment using the Logo programming language.
It tries to make programming as easy and accessible as possible.
This makes KTurtle suitable for teaching kids the basics of mathematics, geometry and programming.

The commands used to program are in the style of the Logo programming language.

KCheckGMail is a KDE systray application which checks GMail accounts for new mail.

_ spampd - a spamassassin based SMTP/LMTP proxy daemon

spampd is a SMTP/LMTP server designed to be hooked into the MTA processing chain (e.g. as a content filter).
It is written in Perl and uses the Net::Server framework.
It is intended to provide spam filtering at the system level (i.e. ususally for all users).
If you rely on per-user configuration or per-user Bayes databases, spampd is not for you.

The major advantage of spampd over plain SpamAssassin (both directly and through spamd) is that it doesn't need to load all needed perl modules on every invocation or spawn a C programme for every mail it receives.
Compared to using spamc/spamd, spampd can usually provide a 25% performance with local-only tests.

The advantage of spampd over amavisd-new is that it uses the original SpamAssassin header tags, which are more verbose than the tags which amavisd-new provides.

Axyl is a website development tool aimed at Php developers. _ hibernate - Software Suspend 2 script

This script provides a way to activate software suspend functionality in the kernel.
Currently it requires Software Suspend 2 which is not in the stock kernels; however a patch can be downloaded at

The script can take care of loading and unloading modules, various hacks needed to get some video cards to resume properly under X, restarting networking and system services.
It can be extended by writing new "scriplets" which run at different parts of the suspend process.

This Package should be installed on a system with CD- or DVD-Writer.
With bootcd you can copy your system to cd, run it from cd without need for disks and restore your system on disk from bootcd.

年始にニュージーランドに行ったときに買ったニコレットが、たくさん残っていることに気づいたので、実践導入することにした。

で、試しに午前中の喫煙欲を押さえるために使ってみたんだけど、これがもうなんというか、「喫煙欲を和らげる」というよりは「気分を悪くする」感じで (わら

おそらく、ニコレットとたばこを併用したのが悪いんだろう。

ただ、そのおかげか激しく減煙が進み、本日の喫煙本数 21 時現在で 6 本。普段の半分くらいの本数ですな。

%5[Diving] ダイビング器材到着

先週末、式根島から送ったダイビング器材が届いた。

何も考えずに受け取ろうとしたところ、良く考えたら着払いで発送してた。「財布の中 2 千円しかないんですけど、平気ですか?」とか思ってたら、送料 \1,500 くらいでなんとか支払えたぜ。

半濡れの状態で梱包したので、さっさと洗わねば!

ダイビング器材を洗いつつシャワーを浴びようと思い、すっぱになって風呂に入ってみたものの、なぜかまったくお湯がでない。

湯沸かし器をつけて蛇口をひねり、しばらくしてお湯がでるかなと思う頃に、湯沸かし器がエラーを表示して止まってしまう。

まじすか、俺、すでにすっぱなんですけど...

さやかにそとの湯沸かし器まわりを見に行ってもらったところ、どうも機器が新しくなったようで、その関係で一度リセットしないとつかえないようになっていたらしい。なんだそりゃ。

てことで、すっぱで 30 分近く水と格闘していたため、すごく風邪っぽい...

今日から始まりました。

これから 1 ヶ月間強、がんばります。

先日、「用事があって東京に来る」との連絡があったんだけど、今日の夕方「飲まないか?」とのメールがあった。たまたま早く帰れそうだったので連絡を取って新宿で待ち合わせ。

そのまま西荻窪に移動し、晩小屋ヘ行く。

いつまでたっても中性浮力がとれるようにならない旨相談してみたところ、「呼吸と BC のエアーのコントロールのタイミング」についてアドバイスしてもらった。たしかに「(空気を) 吸う」のと「(BC に空気を) 入れる」のを同時にやったら浮きすぎるよね。

24:00 くらいまで晩小屋で飲んで、部屋にかえってからも 02:00 くらいまでいろいろお話しする。

で、勢いで、さやかが SCUBAPRO 5mm ウェットスーツ、僕が SCUBAPRO Dive'n Roll Bag を購入することになった。それぞれ \30,000- で合計 \60,000- なり。
